Oh Allah, create light in my heart, and light in my eyes, and light in my hearing, and light on my right, and light on my left, and light above me, and light beneath me, and light in front of me, and light behind me, and appoint light for me and magnify light for me. Oh Allah, Bestow Light Upon Me!

Struggles of the Salafee Student of Knowledge: Im more than likely going to start wearing a long white shirt and...

dawud-salafee-talibulilm:

Im more than likely going to start wearing a long white shirt and Sirwal if I can find them. Along with my white kufi of course, and change it up day after day. Yes, I expect my mom and dad to freak out. Yes, I expect them to fight me again, but I cant keep worrying about what they “might” say.

To pray 5 times a day is to give God 25 minutes of your time. That’s less than a tv show, and it’s less than the time it takes to get ready to go out, or the time it takes to go shopping. You can give time to those things, so why can’t you give time to your Creator? There is 24 hours in a day, yet it is so tough on us to give away 25 minutes to the one who gave us life. SubhanAllah.

The Art of Protest: Stop doing this to converts/reverts to Islam

the-art-of-protest:

Ok, I am personally not a convert to Islam, but these are the common complaints I hear from them:

1. You act like you suddenly know everything and start to try to teach them.

Reality: You probably don’t even know how to pray Janazah, why don’t you just let the scholars educate them?…

The Arabic word تكلم (to speak), has another root meaning كلم which means to wound.
How many people have we wounded with our words?
